Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 10, 2025  ·  Last Updated: June 2025

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BlackFramed website at blackframeddoors.com and all purchases, trade agreements, and services provided by BlackFramed ("BlackFramed," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing our website, placing an order, or engaging with our Trade Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or services.

Important

All BlackFramed products are custom-fabricated to order. All sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges. Please review your order specifications carefully before submitting.

1. About BlackFramed

BlackFramed is a premium European steel door and window brand offering made-to-order products fabricated to client specifications. We serve residential, commercial, and trade clients primarily in Los Angeles and Southern California.

BlackFramed operates and can be reached at hello@blackframeddoors.com.

2. Use of Our Website

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use the site in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Reproduce, duplicate, or copy any content without our written permission
  • Transmit unsolicited commercial communications or interfere with the site's operation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms.

3. Products and Custom Orders

All BlackFramed steel doors and windows are custom-fabricated to the specifications provided at the time of order. This includes dimensions, profile selection, finish, glazing, and hardware.

  • Product images and renderings on our website are representative. Actual appearance may vary slightly due to fabrication, finish, and material characteristics.
  • It is your responsibility to verify all measurements, specifications, and compatibility with your project requirements before placing an order.
  • BlackFramed does not provide on-site measurement services unless explicitly agreed to in writing.
  • We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change without notice prior to order confirmation.

  • A deposit of 50% of the total order value is required to initiate production. The remaining balance is due prior to shipment release.
  • Payment is accepted via methods available at checkout or as agreed upon for trade and project accounts.
  • Prices do not include applicable taxes, freight, customs duties, or installation — unless explicitly stated in your quote.
  • Hardware selections are priced separately and confirmed at time of order.
  • BlackFramed reserves the right to apply a surcharge for order sizes or configurations that fall outside standard production ranges.

Orders are not confirmed until a deposit has been received and written confirmation has been issued by BlackFramed.

5. No Returns, No Cancellations

All Sales Final

Because all products are custom-fabricated to your specifications, all sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once production has begun.

Cancellations requested before production begins may be considered at BlackFramed's sole discretion and may result in forfeiture of the deposit to cover design, procurement, and administrative costs already incurred.

If you believe a product was delivered with a manufacturing defect, you must notify us in writing at hello@blackframeddoors.com within 7 days of delivery, with photographic documentation. Confirmed manufacturing defects will be addressed at our discretion through repair, replacement of affected components, or credit — not refund.

6. Lead Times and Delivery

Lead times vary by product, configuration, and production schedule. Estimated lead times will be communicated at the time of order confirmation and are approximate, not guaranteed.

  • BlackFramed is not liable for delays caused by factors outside our control, including port congestion, customs clearance, carrier delays, force majeure events, or supplier disruptions.
  • Delivery is to a specified freight receiving address or jobsite. It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure the site is ready to receive goods.
  • Risk of loss and title transfer to the buyer upon delivery to the designated delivery point.
  • Freight and logistics costs are the buyer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Direct jobsite delivery is available and standard for BlackFramed orders. Storage and re-delivery due to a site not being ready may incur additional fees.

7. Trade Program

BlackFramed's Trade Program is available to licensed architects, interior designers, general contractors, developers, and other qualified trade professionals operating in the construction and design industry.

Eligibility and Application

  • Trade status must be applied for and approved by BlackFramed prior to accessing trade pricing or terms.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a valid business license, contractor's license, or professional credential as applicable.
  • Approval is at BlackFramed's sole discretion and may be revoked at any time.

Trade Account Terms

  • Trade pricing and terms are confidential and may not be shared with third parties.
  • Trade accounts are non-transferable and apply only to the registered business entity.
  • Trade clients are responsible for accurately conveying project specifications to BlackFramed and for ensuring client approval of all custom configurations before order submission.
  • BlackFramed does not assume responsibility for specification errors submitted by trade accounts on behalf of their clients.

Project Quoting

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
  • Quotes are non-binding until a deposit is received and written order confirmation is issued.
  • Scope changes after order confirmation may result in revised pricing and extended lead times.

8. Installation

BlackFramed supplies products only. Installation is not included unless explicitly agreed upon in a separate written agreement.

  • It is the client's or contractor's responsibility to ensure proper rough opening preparation, substrate conditions, and compliance with applicable building codes prior to installation.
  • BlackFramed is not liable for damage, defects, or failures resulting from improper installation, modification, or use of products by third parties.
  • Installation by an unqualified installer may void any applicable product warranty.

9. Warranties

Warranty coverage varies by product system. All warranties apply to the original purchaser, are non-transferable, and cover manufacturing defects under normal operating conditions only.

To make a warranty claim, contact us at hello@blackframeddoors.com with your order details, photographic documentation, and a description of the issue. BlackFramed will evaluate the claim and determine the appropriate remedy at our discretion, which may include repair, replacement of the affected component, or credit.

BlackFramed makes no additional warranties, express or implied, beyond what is stated above. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BlackFramed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website, products, or services — including but not limited to project delays, installation failures, or loss of business.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your order shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BlackFramed, its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of our website or services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

For trade disputes, BlackFramed encourages direct resolution through written communication before escalation. Please contact us at hello@blackframeddoors.com.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our website or services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For active trade accounts, material changes will be communicated directly.
