Locking

A better way to close and secure your door.

A large steel door has a lot of weight and a lot of surface area. The way it closes and locks matters.

Instead of securing the door at just one point, a multi-point locking system engages at several points along the frame. This helps the door close more evenly, keeps the seals compressed, and gives the door a solid, secure feel.

It’s a small detail that makes a noticeable difference in how the door works every day.

Locking points

Hooks, rollers, or bolts spaced along the lock stile that draw the leaf into the frame.

Handle & centre case

One turn of the handle drives every point at once; the cylinder secures them.

Shoot bolts at the top and bottom anchor the inactive leaf into the head and threshold.

Keeps & strikes

Frame-side plates that receive each point and set the compression on the seals.

Flush levers or bolts hold the second leaf fixed so the active leaf locks against it.

Four reasons it matters

A more even closure

With several locking points working together, the door is pulled more evenly into the frame. This helps reduce gaps and keeps the weather seals working as intended.

Especially useful for large doors

The bigger the door, the more important the hardware becomes. Multi-point locking gives larger doors additional support along the height of the frame rather than relying on one lock in the middle.
